The Rebuild Slotted Volume utility recalculates the slotted volume based on changes made to the lbs/cu ft. setting for the item and/or slot volume. The recalculation ensures that the correct remaining volume is used to identify open slots when slotting by volume.
When you first enter the Rebuild Slotted Volume option the following message will appear: "Recalculate slotted volumes? No/Yes."
